ABOUT ME

My name is Jas HPD DSFH AfSFH (Reg)

I am a Clinical Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist delivering treatment to clients face to face and online. I have worked within the area of mental health for a number of years both in the NHS and for private organisations as an Assistant Psychologist and as a Qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner. Additionally, I worked as a mental health practitioner for the staff at the West Midlands Ambulance Service. I have gained a range of knowledge, skills and experience which enable me to be an adaptive practitioner that can work with clients from diverse backgrounds and of all ages.

Why did I choose to become a hypnotherapist?

I suffered with generalised anxiety and depression for years and had treatment such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Counselling, at different times of my life. Although they were both good in their own ways, nothing changed my life the way that solution focused hypnotherapy did – so much so that I changed my career path.

Hypnotherapy helped me to understand why for years I suffered in the way that I did, and the most amazing thing happened as a result; I finally gained control over my life and felt like I had never felt before – truly happy from within. I started to reach goals that I never thought I could, and I realised that my only obstacle previously was myself and that negative primative brain or the chimp brain as I call it. The best part of my job is helping clients along their journy of self-discovery and watching them blossom and reach their potentials.

I trained at The Clifton Practice, I chose to train there because their training is in line with my personal values, ways of working and its foundations are based on neuroscience and research. The Practice is also widely recognised as the ‘Gold Standard’ and it combines the very best Solution Focused techniques, Brain based Therapy, CBT and NLP along with experience to deliver a high standard of treatment.

I offer a free initial consultation where I explain what solution focused hypnotherapy is, and where we can discuss how we will work together to reach your goals. During that session we discuss myths about hypnotherapy, and I explain the neuroscience behind the techniques and processes we use.

In our sessions I will make you work hard, however the feedback I have received from clients is that they are grateful for this and they leave our sessions feeling very positive and empowered.
